Finance Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the finance team of a leading manufacturing company based in Portsmouth. This company, specialising in innovative bespoke components, is known for its commitment to automation in finance processes, maintaining high financial controls, and fostering a collaborative work environment. 

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes with precision and attention to detail.
• Manage weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approval processes.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Allocate incoming payments accurately and engage with customers to resolve outstanding queries.
• Assist in the ongoing implementation of AP automation tools and contribute to process improvements.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a meticulous approach to work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
