Finance Assistant – Part-Time

25 hours per week | Monday–Friday | On-site with some flexibility

We’re working with a vibrant and growing group business to recruit a part-time Finance Assistant to join its finance team.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play an important role across the group, supporting day-to-day transactional finance activities including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and cash management.

The business operates across a number of exciting ventures, including a globally recognised cricket travel and merchandising brand, alongside other growing businesses within the group.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Management Accountant, you’ll provide day-to-day transactional and administrative support across the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing and maintaining the sales ledger
• Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger
• Managing credit control, including chasing outstanding customer balances and resolving queries
• Allocating cash across bank and merchant accounts
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Reconciling Shopify transactions against sales and bank records
• Managing and responding to queries through the accounts email inbox
• Supporting the Financial Controller and Management Accountant with ad hoc finance tasks as required

About You

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in a similar Finance Assistant or Accounts role. A formal accountancy qualification isn't essential, but you'll need solid practical finance experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Hands-on experience across sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and bank reconciliation
• Experience using accounting software and confidence with Excel
• Experience with Shopify or another e-commerce platform would be advantageous
• Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills, with confidence liaising with customers, suppliers and colleagues
• A collaborative, team-focused approach
