As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is studying towards, or looking to progress towards, a professional accountancy qualification while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Plant Controller and wider management team, you will support key financial activities across the site, helping to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls and insightful analysis to support business decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain performance trends.
• Preparing and analysing cost accounting data, including production costs and inventory valuations.
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and procedures.
• Assisting with internal and external audits.
• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and project support.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborating with operational teams to provide financial insight and support business performance.

What You''ll Bring

You will hold a degree, be AAT qualified, or be part-qualified in CIMA or ACCA, with relevant experience working within a finance environment.
