Finance Assistant Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Location: Near Romford, Essex (Office-Based) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Your New Company An established and growing organisation within the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain exposure to a broad range of transactional finance responsibilities within a busy and supportive environment. Your New Role: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function. Duties will include: Processing supplier invoices and matching against purchase orders. Managing accounts payable activities and supplier payments. Processing BACS and CHAPS payments. Handling employee expenses and company credit card transactions. Posting daily cash entries and assisting with banking activities. Performing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations. Supporting month-end processes and reporting. Assisting with cash flow updates and financial controls. Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal stakeholders. Supporting the finance team with ad hoc accounting duties as required.
