The Finance Assistant will be working as part of a small, friendly team, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. The role provides administrative support to the finance team and will also provide finance associated administrative support for the housing management service, maintaining appropriate records and deliver a high-quality service to tenants. The role is on an initial 12-month fixed term contract basis, working hybrid Monday to Friday, fulltime hours. Key duties:- Cash Management and Funding • Processing high volumes of receipts for rent, council tax refunds and other income • Preparation and posting of journals including cashbooks, recharges to other entities • Monthly banking of cheques • Daily bank balance review Financial Reporting • Approval of invoices on a daily basis • Creation of sales invoices and reviewing sales processes • Month-end journal postings (e.g. payroll, prepayments, accruals, depreciation) • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts, budgets and forecasts to predetermined timetables and to a high degree of accuracy • Support the preparation of the annual statutory accounts • Managing risk through adhering to internal processes and ..... full job details .....
