Finance Apprentice

Astute Recruitment are delighted to be working with a prestigious organisation in South Derbyshire to recruit a Finance Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in finance and accounting, gaining hands-on experience within a supportive finance team whilst studying towards an AAT qualification. Full training will be provided, alongside one paid day per week dedicated to college or study. The Role Will Involve: Processing purchase invoices and preparing payments Posting and allocating cash receipts Assisting with bank and ledger reconciliations Supporting the billing process for fees and other charges Assisting with credit control and maintaining customer accounts Providing support across both the purchase and sales ledger Assisting with management accounts and year-end audit preparation Learning all aspects of the finance function whilst completing an AAT qualification The Ideal Candidate: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) A genuine interest in pursuing a career in finance and accountancy Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills A positive attitude with a willingness to learn Confident communication skills Ability to work well as part of a small, supportive team Previous office or finance experience would be advantageous but is not essential Benefits and Hours: Fully office-based in South Derbyshire Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (40 hours per week) Salary: 16,640 per annum ..... full job details .....
