Finance and Payroll Manager

Orka Financial is currently recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for an established technology services business based in the Newbury area. This is a broad, hands-on position combining management accounting and financial reporting with ownership of the payroll process.The role would suit an experienced Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Financial Controller who can quickly take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and deliver accurate, timely information to the wider business.Key responsibilities:Producing monthly management accounts and supporting commentaryManaging the month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepaymentsCompleting balance-sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepanciesPreparing financial reports and providing insight into business performanceSupporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow managementTaking ownership of the payroll input and queriesManaging payroll information, deductions, pensions and relevant submissionsLiaising with internal stakeholders and responding to finance and payroll queriesSupporting process improvements and other ad hoc finance projectsThe successful candidate will have:Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant or similar hands-on finance roleStrong management accounting and month-end reporting experiencePractical experience of managing or processing payrollGood Excel skills and confidence working with finance and payroll systemsThe ability to work independently and meet tight ..... full job details .....
