Finance and Accounts Manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Accounts Manager to join a thriving construction business based in Hertford, England. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being at the heart of finance operations, supporting a growing organisation with your expertise and nurturing a small team. This is a pivotal role for the business and will have scope to expand and grow alongside the business. Take full ownership of the finance function, including payables, receivables, credit control, bank reconciliations and supplier relationships. Prepare and release payment runs and payroll, maintaining sound controls. Own the month-end process and produce management accounts and reporting. Explain financial performance clearly to directors and non-finance colleagues, and highlight issues and opportunities. Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow plans. Manage VAT and other statutory compliance, deadlines and filings. Be the main point of contact for external accountants, auditors, banks and payroll providers. Prepare for and support the year-end audit and statutory accounts. Build and improve finance processes, systems and controls as the business grows.
