Finance Analyst/Associate, Financial Accounting and Reporting (Based in Beijing, China) – This position is based in Beijing, China. The role is with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).AIIB is a multilateral development bank focused on financing infrastructure for tomorrow in Asia and beyond, with sustainability at its core. AIIB began operations in Beijing in 2016 and has grown to 110 approved members worldwide, capitalized at USD 100 billion and AAA-rated by major international credit rating agencies. The Bank partners to unlock new capital and invest in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled, and promotes regional connectivity.The Office of the Controller (CTL) is responsible for the accounting of the Bank’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial reporting, implementing controls to safeguard assets, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. CTL supports AIIB’s credit-rating process and oversees payments for corporate suppliers, staff remuneration and benefits, and disbursements of loans and equity portfolio.The selected candidate will assist in AIIB’s financial accounting and reporting, particularly in performing the valuation review of AIIB’s financial instruments and the financial performance analysis of the Bank.Responsibilities

Perform quarterly reviews of valuation results for all financial instruments, including analysis of fair value movements, assessment of valuation methodologies, and identification of anomalies in valuation inputs and outputs.Assist in general financial reporting duties relating to the valuation of all financial instruments, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 13).Gather, document, and translate business requirements related to valuation into functional system specifications for financial reporting purposes and communicate to external parties (e.g., system vendors).Manage the scheduling and organization of valuation-related meetings, ensuring timely circulation of agendas, meeting invites, and supporting materials.Engage with Treasury, Investment Operations, and other relevant teams for valuation-related matters.Perform ad-hoc analysis and other reporting duties as assigned.Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant practical experience in an international bank and/or large organization. Previous experience in financial accounting and reporting is required.Bachelor’s degree or above in related fields.A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from a reputable, internationally recognized institution is advantageous.Strategic problem solver with strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting (IFRS standards), and advanced skills in statistics and data analysis. Prior valuation review experience is highly advantageous.Proficient in relevant accounting and reporting software systems, with understanding of core banking systems handling loan investments, bond securities investments, derivatives, and equity.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a tight schedule.Team player with effective communication skills able to deliver results.AIIB is committed to diversity, transparency, and inclusion.
