Finance Analyst

Manpower are currently seeking an interim Finance Analyst, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £45,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

This role is designed to provide hands on experience within a factory environment, supporting the site finance team with core operational finance activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Support analysis and reporting of production costs and factory performance
• Support volume analysis and understanding key operational cost drivers
• Assist with Fixed Asset capitalisation, depreciation and tracking
• Support stock counts and stock£related finance activities
• Help resolve urgent supplier payments and finance queries
• Support IFRS 16 lease accounting activities
• Deliver ad£hoc analysis and reporting to support site and finance stakeholders
• Support the transformation team in projects execution especially focusing on finance activities related to spends management and savings tracking.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a finance, cost analysis or management accounting role, with a background in fixed assets, depreciation, payments, and cost tracking.
• Strong analytical skills with confidence using MS Excel and financial data, while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Practical, organised and comfortable working in a fast£paced site environment.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with cross£functional teams. Experience providing stakeholders with clear, focused, and robust financial analysis and guidance, including strategic insights, risks, and opportunities.
• Experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or operational environment preferable.
• SAP or other ERP system experience.
• Studying/completed a finance qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
