An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful and growing organisation as a Finance Acquisition Integration Lead, taking responsibility for the effective integration of newly acquired businesses.

Working closely with senior leadership, this is a broad, highly visible role combining finance, project management, risk and operational integration. You will coordinate activity across multiple functions, ensuring newly acquired businesses transition smoothly into the wider Group while maintaining business continuity and strong financial control.

This would suit a qualified accountant or commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working outside the boundaries of a traditional finance role. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple projects, bringing structure to complex situations and working with stakeholders across an organisation.

You will take ownership of integration activity following the completion of acquisitions, establishing clear plans, responsibilities, priorities and deadlines.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking a lead role in the finance integration of acquired businesses

• Managing integration plans for newly acquired businesses from completion through to successful transition

• Translating findings from the acquisition process into clear actions and priorities

• Coordinating multiple workstreams across Finance, HR, IT, operations, payroll and other central functions

• Maintaining project plans, risk registers and progress reporting

• Leading regular integration meetings and ensuring actions remain on track

• Identifying financial, operational and control risks and ensuring appropriate action is taken

• Bringing newly acquired entities onto Group reporting, controls and financial processes

• Supporting the transition of management accounts, cash reporting, working capital and KPI reporting

• Reviewing banking, payment processes, delegated authorities and financial controls

• Working with internal teams to coordinate systems and process changes

• Supporting the integration of payroll, employee information and wider people processes

• Coordinating operational areas including assets, insurance and other business-critical requirements

• Providing senior leadership with clear reporting on progress, risks, dependencies and outstanding actions

• Identifying opportunities to improve and standardise the integration process for future acquisitions

We are looking for someone with a strong finance foundation combined with excellent organisation and project management capability.

You are likely to be:

• A qualified accountant or experienced part-qualified finance professional

• Experienced within financial control, management reporting, commercial finance, audit, transaction support or a related environment

• Commercially aware with a strong understanding of financial controls, cash, working capital and month-end reporting

• Highly organised and capable of managing several workstreams simultaneously

• Confident identifying risks, challenging existing processes and ensuring actions are completed

• Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and operational management teams

• Able to work across functions rather than operating purely within finance

• Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment

• A strong communicator who can bring clarity and structure to complex projects

Previous exposure to acquisitions, business integration or transformation would be particularly advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
