Finance Accountancy Officer - Conwy Council

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Education Finance Team at Conwy County Borough Council as a Finance Accountancy Officer.

In this key role, you will provide a comprehensive range of financial support services to Headteachers and Governing Bodies. The team delivers essential financial services, including budget setting, monitoring, and reporting, as part of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to schools across the county.

• Location: Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, (Hybrid - 3 days office-based)
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
• Pay: £14.36 per hour
• Contract: 3 months+

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget setting, monitoring, and reporting for schools
• Financial management support and advice to Headteachers and Governing Bodies
• Delivery of additional finance services in line with SLA agreements

• Experience working in a finance environment (preferably within education or public sector finance)
