Final Test Engineer - Late

Location: Cambourne (CB23)Duration: OngoingHours: 7:15am to 4pm (Monday to Friday) initially before transferring to late shift, 1:45pm - 9:30pmSalary: -20.39 per hourJob Reference: 36370Polytec are looking for a Final Test Engineer for our client based a few miles west of Cambridge. You will test products in accordance with established procedures ensuring that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met. You will train for the first 3 months on a dayshift working 7:15am to 4pm and then transfer to the late shift working 1:45pm - 9:30pm.Responsibilities:* Assembly, sub-assembly and testing* Trouble-shoot malfunctions, carrying out basic modifications as required* Maintenance of test equipment* Participate in Lean activities as required* Contribute to driving continuous improvement, identifying waste in test processes* Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards.Requirements:* Experience of fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems* Proven ability to utilise user interface software to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems* Experience of assembling and / or testing precision instrumentation* Working in an electromechanical test environment* Understand and follow test specifications and standard operating procedures* GCSE Mathematics and English* Qualification in Electronics / Mechatronics (Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, Btec Level 3 or 4-year apprenticeship)* Experience using MS WindowsPlease contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
