Field Service Technician
I am recruiting for my client who provides engineering services to customers across a range of industries. They are now looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team in Huddersfield.
The successful candidate will service, maintain and repair industrial mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites across the region. Occasional travel further afield and overnight stays will be required. Product training and support will be provided.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, planned maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults at customer sites.
- Assist with commissioning and installation work.
- Complete accurate service reports and electronic job sheets.
- Liaise with colleagues informing them of progress and any additional work required.
- Provide professional customer support and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
- Participate in an on call rota.
Field Service Technician Requirements:
- Strong hands on mechanical engineering experience with an understanding of electrical systems.
- Experience maintaining pumps, rotating equipment or similar electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with valves, actuators, hydraulics or pneumatics would be beneficial.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics, diagnose faults and work safely.
- Electrical fault finding experience would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel, participate in the on call rota and stay away occasionally.
Field Service Technician Benefits:
