Due to an internal promotion, our client, a global engineering organisation, is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead an established team of Field Service and Commissioning Engineers.-

This is a non-hands-on management role requiring a practical engineering background and previous experience leading field-based engineering teams.-

The Role-

You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of engineering activities across service, maintenance, installation and commissioning projects throughout the UK and internationally.-

Key Responsibilities-

• Lead and support a team of Field Service and Commissioning Engineers.-
• Plan and allocate engineering resources across multiple projects and activities.-
• Maintain operational oversight of service, installation, maintenance and commissioning work.-
• Ensure engineers have the information, tools and support required to perform effectively.-
• Remove operational barriers and support project delivery.-
• Promote high standards of health, safety and compliance.-
• Build effective relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders.-
• Drive team performance and continuous improvement.-

About You-

Essential Experience & Attributes-

• Experience leading field-based engineering teams.-
• Practical engineering background within mechanical, industrial or related environments.-
• Previous progression from a hands-on engineering role into leadership or management.-
• Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills.-
• Strong health and safety awareness, including experience with RAMS and safe systems of work.-
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and business systems.-
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.-
• Practical problem-solving and decision-making ability.-
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.-

Desirable-

• IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification.-
• Experience within water treatment, utilities, power generation, M&E, industrial engineering, large-scale installation projects or maintenance-led operations.-
