Field Service Engineer
We are working with a specialist engineering organisation operating within the water management and flood defence sector, seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Service Engineer to join their project delivery and operations team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to support a wide range of critical infrastructure assets across the UK.This is a field-based position, requiring weekly travel nationwide, supporting both project delivery and ongoing customer aftercare. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and longevity of water control and flood defence equipment across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport installation teams by carrying out quality inspections and resolving on-site issuesPerform planned and reactive service, maintenance, and repair on water control and flood defence equipmentDiagnose faults where issues are not immediately clearAssist with commissioning of newly installed systemsConduct site surveys to support pre-contract activitiesProvide input to engineering teams regarding parts and maintenance requirementsMaintain accurate service records, reports, and time logsEnsure all work is carried out in line with HSEQ standards and documentationRequirementsElectrical qualifications essential (Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering or similar)18th Edition Wiring RegulationsStrong mechanical engineering experienceFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel nationwide on a weekly basis or being based in ..... full job details .....
