This role could be of interest. Here, you''ll be working for a manufacturer of equipment often found in the labs of manufacturers, universities and heavy industry. They''re seeking a field service engineer to join an existing team.

Your Role as a Field Service Engineer

• Conducting ppm, service, and breakdown repairs to equipment found in materials testing and preparation labs.
• Being hands-on with mechanical and electrical equipment, along with some electronic fault-finding.
• Visiting some desirable manufacturing and research facilities.
• You''ll be accessing some equipment remotely too to carry out diagnostics.
• A Monday - Friday role, 37.5 hours per week; an average of 1 night per week away from home.

Ideal Background for the Field Service Engineer Position

• You''ll have a good engineering understanding from a mechanical and electrical perspective.
• This role would also suit an engineer from the armed forces.
  • The service manager is ex-forces too.
• Existing field service experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK as no sponsorship provided.
