Job Title: Forklift Engineer - Field basedSalary: 35- 41K PA DOELocation: Bolton and surrounding area Benefits:PensionLife assuranceAccess to discounts at various retailersCompany vehicle Key ResponsibilitiesPerform servicing, repair, and maintenance of diesel, and electric forklift trucks, including hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and batteriesDiagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults and execute corrective repairs on-site or in workshop environmentsCarry out preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns swiftly and effectively.compliance and safety standardsComplete accurate job sheets, service reports, parts usage logs, and client communications for each assignmentMaintain van stock levels, liaise with parts controllers or service managers, and escalate quotes for major repairs Required Qualifications and SkillsNVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, Motor Vehicle Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or equivalent vocational qualification or higherProven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical fault finding, ideally including forklift trucks or plant machineryFull UK driving licence is essentialStrong analytical and diagnostic skills, proficiency using diagnostic tools or handheld devicesExcellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or within a team ..... full job details .....
