Field Service Engineer

Our client is one of the world leading manufacturer of automated machinery for the food processing industry.Due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance service and repair activities at client sites throughout the UK. Basic 40K - 43K + OT + Car OTE 55K - 60K per annumThe Role:Reporting to the service manager you will be responsible for machine maintenance, service and repair activities on customer sites. Duties will include but is not limited to the following;Installation, maintenance, service and repair of automated machinery including conveyors, slicing, dicing, cutting, pick and place and rotary machinery.Mechanical maintenance activities will involve the removal and replacement on broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, etc etcElectrical fault find and repair on motors, servos, 415v and 24v circuits (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential). Some PLC work including checking outputs / inputs will be required.Providing operational training for customersCandidate:The successful candidate will have excellent electrical / mechanical maintenance experience . Applicants with previous automated machine maintenance experience would be preferred however full training will be given.
