      <description>Location: Northampton | Salary: &amp;pound;48000 - &amp;pound;52000/annum + overseas uplift + overtime | Type: Permanent | Field Service Engineer – Automation – International – Home Based - Permanent – £50k base salary + overseas uplift + overtime (£70-75k OTE)   Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to support the commissioning, servicing and maintenance of automated systems across Europe and beyond.  The successful Field Service Engineer will be a hands-on, versatile engineer with a blend of electrical, controls and mechanical skills rather than a pure controls specialist.   Key aspects of the Field Service Engineer role include –   	 Electrical and PLC commissioning using Siemens PLCs 	 Ideally have knowledge of conveyors, material handing or baggage handling equipment 	 PLC fault-finding on live systems (rather than full software development) 	 Planned service and maintenance visits to existing sites 	 Minor mechanical works including tracking belts, conveyor repairs, replacing brackets etc. 	 Some SCADA exposure and familiarity with SEW motors and drives would be beneficial 	 Working directly with customers, on site globally 	 Typical trips of 3–6 weeks, with rest weeks in between 	 Home-based when not on site   The package on offer includes a £50k basic salary, a 20% uplift on s...</description>
