Field Service Engineer

JOB: Field Service Engineer Location: Cheddar, Somerset Hours: Monday to Friday (Standard 8am - 5pm) + Overtime + Call-Outs Contract: Permanent Overview: We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for our client based in Cheddar. Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for problem-solving and customer service? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, providing on-site servicing, repairs, and installations across a range of customer locations. No two days are the same, with opportunities for overtime and career progression. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out site visits for servicing, repairs, and installations. Completing all required documentation, including risk assessments and timesheets. Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times. Participating in a call-out rota (1 week in every 3) and being available for overtime. Supporting the Site Service Supervisor and Manager with additional tasks as needed. Skills and Attributes: Proven experience in a field-based engineering role. Strong knowledge of electric motors, gearboxes, and pumps (essential). Familiarity with generators and PLCs (desirable). Electrical expertise, including three-phase systems and inverters. Mechanical and electrical engineering background. Confined space training (advantageous). Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused attitude. Full UK driving licence (essential) company vehicle provided.
