Are you a qualified Refrigeration Engineer looking for a field-based role with no weekend or on-call work?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer (Refrigeration) to join a Nottingham-based specialist manufacturer, covering customers across Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

This is a varied field-based role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing specialist refrigeration and other equipment at customer sites across the UK. The role will primarily involve refrigeration PPMs, alongside planned maintenance and repair work across a wider range of specialist equipment.

The company is open to newly qualified Refrigeration Engineers who have the right qualifications and attitude, with full product training provided.

The ideal candidate will be located in the East of England in either Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire or surrounding areas to cover the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on refrigeration and cold room equipment
• Service, maintain and repair specialist refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Carry out PPM and repair work across a wider range of specialist equipment
• Attend customer sites across the East of England and surrounding regions
• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately using digital reporting systems
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times
• Work independently when attending customer sites
• Work alongside colleagues on larger installation, service and repair projects where required
• Participate in internal and external training to develop product knowledge
• Follow all health, safety and company procedures

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent
• Valid F-Gas certification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good understanding of refrigeration systems and fault finding
• Electrical knowledge or an electrical qualification
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Willingness to travel extensively across customer sites
• Happy to stay away from home when required
• Able to obtain a DBS check

Newly qualified Refrigeration Engineers are encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided on the company''s specialist equipment.

About this position:

• Salary: From £40,000 DOE
• Salary review/increase following successful completion of probation, subject to performance
• Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
• No weekend or on-call shifts
• Field-based position covering Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas
• Regular overnight stays may be required
• Company van and fuel card
• Tools, uniform, mobile phone and tablet provided
• Hotel accommodation provided when required
• Ongoing training and career development
• 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, with an additional day per year up to a maximum of 5 additional days
