Field Service Engineer (Electrical)
We''re recruiting for a Field Service Electrical Engineer to join a growing organisation specialising in Southampton, covering the south of England
Salary is c-40-45,000 per annum plus 25 days'' holiday and bank holidays, pension, overtime, company vehicle,company bonus etc.
About the Field Service Electrical Engineer role
As a Field Service Electrical Engineer, you''ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems,-ensuring they operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Working independently across customer sites, you''ll play a key role in delivering reliable engineering support and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs.

Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and annual servicing on mobile medical units.

Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.

Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

Assist with installations, commissioning and repair work where necessary.

Maintain company tools, testing equipment and service vehicle.

Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
Person specification:
We''re looking for an engineer with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach who enjoys working independently in a field-based environment.
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in electrical maintenance, servicing and fault finding.

Experience carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, controls and low-voltage wiring.

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation. 2391

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

Good understanding of electrical testing procedures and safe isolation practices.

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-
Full UK driving licence.

Willingness to travel throughout the South of England.
Desirable
-
Previous field service or mobile engineer experience.
