Field Service Engineer

Are you an experienced Field Service Technician with a strong background in plant or construction machinery?

We''re currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician to join a highly respected machinery business, the UK arm of an international engineering group. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role with excellent earning potential, top-tier equipment, and a supportive team that values your expertise.

Location: Northampton | On-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm (Flexible)
Pay: -45,000 - -52,000 per annum (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on piling rigs and heavy plant equipment
• Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Working with diesel engines and complex electro-hydraulic systems
• Travelling to customer sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays
• Providing professional, knowledgeable support as the face of the company
• Keeping your service vehicle and equipment in top working order

Requirements:

• Has 5+ years of experience working with heavy plant or construction equipment
• Understands diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Can confidently diagnose and resolve mechanical/electrical faults
• Has a full, clean UK driving licence
• Is willing to travel and stay away when required
