Field Service Engineer

JRS Associates have partnered with an exciting company in the Midlands to recruit a Field Service Engineer specialising in Plant, Bus, and Agricultural machinery.

This Midlands-based role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide customer base, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic work on a variety of heavy equipment. If you’re looking for career progression and training with a stable employer, this role ticks all the boxes.

The Successful Field Service Engineer - Package:

• Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum

• Benefits: Company van, paid door to door

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:45pm

• Progression: £10,000+ worth of training opportunities

The Successful Field Service Engineer - Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and overhaul of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and axles

• Perform fault diagnosis on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Deliver on-site servicing and breakdown support across the Midlands

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company procedures

• Communicate effectively with customers and provide regular updates

• Suggest improvements to boost operational efficiency

• Provide mentoring for junior engineers and apprentices when needed

The Successful Field Service Engineer - Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience working on Plant, Bus, or Agricultural machinery

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and IT systems

• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• Valid UK driving licence
