Field Service Engineer - Production Machinery and AutomationHome Based - West Midlands / Western UKUK Travel + Regular Staying AwayIf you''re used to walking into a production facility, getting underneath a complex machine fault and staying with it until the equipment is running properly again, this could be for you.We''re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support complex production machinery and automated equipment at major UK manufacturing sites, with a particular focus on advanced manufacturing and aerospace.This isn''t a high-volume service role and we''re not looking for someone maintaining general factory facilities or utilities.You''ll be working directly on the machinery and automated equipment used within production, often spending several days on one customer site diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing planned maintenance and making improvements.What you''ll be doingFault finding on complex production machinery and automated equipmentElectrical and mechanical diagnosis and repairWorking with PLC-controlled machinery, drives, motors, sensors and control systemsPlanned and preventative maintenanceMachine modifications, upgrades and improvement workInstallation and commissioningWorking from electrical and mechanical drawingsIdentifying the root cause of recurring equipment problemsSupporting customers on longer-term engineering projectsWhat we''re looking forYou''ll already be an experienced Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, ..... full job details .....
