Company: United Utilities Role: Field Materials Engineer Location: UU Cheshire sites/Hybrid Pay: £26.56 PAYE or £34.23 Umbrella Length of contract: 12-month rolling Hours per week-37 Monday to Friday Introduction: We have excellent opportunities for you to be part of our Maintenance Excellence programme as a Field Maintenance Planning Engineer within our Planning and Scheduling Team. You will be responsible for the planning and allocation of maintenance activities across a number of UU sites in a defined area. You''ll be working with the maintenance teams to deliver safe and cost-effective asset reliability, playing a key part in the move from reactive to proactive maintenance. Liaising with the maintenance and operational teams you will develop maintenance job plans that are accurate and ready for work scheduling and execution. This will include; people, skillsets requirements, estimated job duration, materials or parts requirements, special tools/ equipment, developing work instructions which include essential safety requirements Job plans for pumps motors gear boxes, Instruments equipment. Reviewing quotes for materials Own vehicle 45 pence a mile 12 months 37 per week 7-3 or 8-4 The Role You will be responsible for ensuring safety is at the forefront of planning activity and hazards are identified upfront for all planned maintenance activity, developing and issuing the short, medium and long term maintenance plan for assets within a designated area.
