They''re looking for an IT Field Engineer to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis, with a strong likelihood of moving to a permanent position after 3 months for the right person.The roleThis is a hands-on, varied role covering both field-based and remote support. You''ll be out on-site across the UK handling installations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure work, then dropping into the service desk to pick up escalated tickets when you''re not travelling. You''ll also get involved in project work - migrations, deployments, upgrades, and office moves - working alongside senior engineers rather than just being handed a checklist.Responsibilities Providing on-site technical support across the UK - installs, configuration, troubleshooting Picking up 1st/2nd line support via phone, email and ticketing when off-site Supporting server infrastructure, Active Directory, and Group Policy Managing Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments, including MFA and security best practice Working across networking - TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls (FortiGate, Cisco, SonicWall, WatchGuard), wireless Supporting backup solutions (Azure Backup, Veeam) and virtualised environments (Hyper-V, VMware, ..... full job details .....
