Field Engineer (Highways Technology) South East England - covering Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey £36,000 to £42,000 per year (+ Vehicle and Overtime) The Opportunity: We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer or Technician to join a team responsible for maintaining electrical, electronic and communications equipment across sites throughout Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. You do not need previous highways experience. We are interested in speaking with engineers from a broad range of field service and maintenance backgrounds who are comfortable fault-finding electrical/electronic equipment and working independently in the field. Relevant backgrounds could include CCTV, security systems, telecoms, traffic signals, ANPR, parking systems, access control, communications equipment, industrial electronics, street lighting, electrical maintenance or other field-based technology systems. Full training will be provided on the specialist roadside technology and equipment. Role andamp; Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and communications faults. Attend equipment failures and restore systems to operation. Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Install, test and replace equipment and components where required. Work with a variety of roadside technology, including cameras, communications equipment, detection systems and electronic signage. ..... full job details .....
