Whether its engineering, broadcast, legal, logistics, security, event management, commercial, media rights, marketing, or communications there is always a talented team working to maximise the potential of the sport.Fibre Operations EngineerWe are currently recruiting for a Fibre Operations Engineer to join our team based at our Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill. The successful candidate will carry out testing, termination, maintenance and logistical coordination of all Fibre drums and related hardware managed by Circuit Networks for deployment at the F1 events.Key Responsibilities

Testing, terminating, and repairing single-mode fibreConducting OTDR, ILM, OPM and end-face inspectionsDiagnosing faults and ensuring accurate reportingSupporting installation, commissioning, and scheduled maintenanceManaging inventory, equipment, and asset recordsPlanning and coordinating fibre deployment for major eventsEnsuring compliance with safety standardsCollaborating with internal teams and mentoring junior techniciansAbout You

Experience of fibre optical technologies including the testing, servicing and termination of single mode fibre using a variety of connectors.Proficient in OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fibre termination and installation of fibre optic cable.Ability to perform in depth root cause analysis of system workflow and equipment faultsProven experience and understanding of system diagramsManagement of stock controlDesirable Experience

Experience working with SMPTE cable.Previous experience in a technical broadcasting role.Technical Report writingJira issue management platformExperience of logging and managing incidents in an operational environment.Practical experience in using 2D AutoCAD softwareWhy join the force behind the sport?
