Fibre Cabling Operative – Devon / Cornwall / Southwest 

Location: Various sites across Devon, Cornwall, and the Southwest

Are you an experienced fibre cabling operative looking to join a dynamic and growing team£ We’re seeking motivated individuals with a strong background in fibre installation to work on exciting infrastructure projects across the Southwest.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and maintain overhead and underground fibre cabling
- Blown Fibre Tubing (BFT) installation
- Test, rod, and rope underground cable routes
- Work from detailed schematics, duct diagrams, and job packs
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of PIA infrastructure
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Full UK driving licence (held for 12+ months, no more than 6 points)
- Up-to-date DBS (within 3 months) and valid First Aid Training

Required Certifications:

- N027 – OFN Cabling in the O/H Network
- N028 – OFN Cabling in the U/G Network
- SA001 and SA002 – Overhead and Underground Safety
- K008 – Hand Rodding in the U/G Network
- NSRWA-01 – Signing, Lighting and Guarding
- K006 – Heavy Cabling and SDMB5 in Duct (preferable)
- NRSWA Street Works Operative Unit 2 card
