Fertility Nurse Sonographer

Overview

We’re looking for an IVF Sister/Nurse Sonographer to join our IVF at The Lister Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Shifts for this role will be predominantly at the Lister Fertility Clinic at The Lister Hospital, Chelsea, but you may be expected to work across sights at the Shard and Canary Wharf satellite units. The role is full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday with rotational Saturdays; shifts to cover opening hours of 8am-4pm with flexible hours discussed.Salary: Competitive (DOE) plus 4% shift allowance.

Responsibilities

Support the Matron, Deputy Nurse Manager and Senior Sisters in the smooth running of the clinics and supervising junior nursing staff.

Independently oversee scan lists, assist couples undergoing fertility treatments and implement and monitor patient treatment cycles.

Maintain effective communication between patients, staff and satellite services. Maintain the highest standard of clinical practice and patient care.

Qualifications

NMC Registered

Counselling course desirable

Phlebotomy trained

Previous experience in IVF is essential: 4 years post registration and 3 years in IVF setting

Ultrasound experience is essential

Prepared to work flexibly within working hours

Prepared to carry emergency mobile phone out of hours
