Female Support Worker/Carer
Duration: Ongoing Hours: Shifts available (Morning 9am - 11am, Afternoon 12:30pm - 1:30pm, Evening 18:30 - 19:30) Full job description We are looking for a Support Worker who will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to an individual living with a spinal cord injury (C4 ASIA C tetraplegia). The role focuses on promoting independence, supporting physical and emotional wellbeing, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. The individual is highly motivated to maximise her independence, return home, and work towards eventually returning to her career as a social worker. She currently requires 24-hour support. Responsibilities: Provide safe, person-centred care in line with Marie s care plan and risk assessments. Support with personal care, mobility, transfers, positioning, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and independence. Encourage rehabilitation, confidence, and progress towards independent living. Provide emotional support and promote overall wellbeing. Support nutrition, hydration, medication, and household tasks where required and authorised. Assist Marie in preparing for a safe transition home to live with her partner. Encourage meaningful activities, social engagement, and community participation. Monitor and report changes in physical or emotional wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately.
