About the Role
You’ll be supporting a friendly and sociable gentleman who enjoys:
- People watching and chatting about what’s going on around him
- Getting out in the community for coffee and local trips
- Watching the soaps and sports
- Talking about Liverpool FC and cars
Due to the impact of his brain injury, he can sometimes shout or display verbal behaviours, including while travelling in the car. It’s important that you’re able to remain calm and professional, understanding that these behaviours are part of his condition and not personal.
He has some speech difficulties but can hold great conversations once you get to know him. We’re looking for someone who can encourage him to try new things and broaden his routine with confidence and positivity.
You’ll support him with personal care, daily routines, cooking, and accessing the community — all while promoting independence and wellbeing.
