Female Housing Support Worker Southend 37 hours per week £24,335 Main Purpose of the Role Are you a motivated and passionate individual looking to make a real difference in your local community? Are you also available at the weekends on a rota basis to put your skills to good use? If so, we would love you to join our clients housing management team as a Housing Support Worker. Providing practical advice, information and support on tenancy sustainment, education, employment, life skills and the development of personal independence Supporting service users to improve their mental health and manage physical health needs or substance misuse where required Ensuring housing provided to service users is exemplary, safe and well-maintained Key Responsibilities Resident Support Ensure residents receive a welcoming, supportive and positive experience as they settle into a home environment Support the team in managing a caseload, including assessments, support plans and reviews Build warm, positive and professional relationships with service users Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver tailored support packages Enable residents to sustain their accommodation, prevent evictions and support those ready to move on Encourage and support residents with substance misuse issues to engage with specialist treatment services Assist residents in developing essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, laundry and personal hygiene Provide evening and weekend cover across sites in line ..... full job details .....
