About the Role
A Fault Reporting Operative is required in Leeds for a 13-month temporary maternity cover contract, paying £15.28 to £16.73 per hour. This full-time, office-based role operates Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Working within a major energy network’s Customer Service Directorate, the position focuses on processing, auditing, and analysing Low Voltage fault information. Key duties include accurately inputting complex fault reports into the Outage Management System and auditing these reports to ensure regulatory compliance. While part of Customer Service, this is not a traditional customer-facing role; it instead supports operational activities through precise data handling and analytical skills.

We are recruiting for a Fault Reporting Operative to join the Fault Reporting team within the Customer Service Directorate of a major energy network operator.
Whilst the team sits within Customer Service, this is not a traditional customer service role. The position is focused on the accurate processing, auditing and analysis of Low Voltage fault information and supporting operational activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input complex Low Voltage fault reports into the Outage Management System.
- Audit Low Voltage fault reports to ensure compliance with business requirements.
- Correct and amend fault reports identified through audit processes.
- Analyse system data and site information.
- Interrogate Low Voltage network records.
- Input and maintain data within MS Access databases.
- Prepare data for annual Quality of Service regulatory submissions.
- Support wider business activities relating to Customer Service and 12-hour restoration targets.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 A Levels or an equivalent NVQ, Business qualification or ILM qualification.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
- Previous office-based experience.
- Experience using Outage Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Low Voltage network operations.
