Permanent job opportunityFarm AssistantDo you enjoy working indoors and outdoors?Are you flexible to work 5 days out of 7?Are you able to work overtime when required?We are looking for a farm assistant; the role will involve supporting the farm management teamsExperience is advantageous; however, training can be providedWorking hours7.30am to 3.30pm, Please note flexibilty is required due to the nature of the businessIn your role as mobile farm assistant: Labouring, some physical workCleaning out sheds and farm areasMaintain required high standards of housekeeping, ensuring that the farm is kept clean and tidy, all roadways are free of litter and weedsGrass cuttingReducing the risk of vermin contaminationPoultry welfare To maintain correct and up to date records of all matters relating to birds, food, supplies etc.To assist other operations such as vaccinating, bird weighing and catching and collection, thus maintaining a smooth operation through processingTo monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water and lighting patterns within agreed guidelines, so that the highest quality atmosphere and condition in which the birds can thrive is achieved. Safe use of chemicalsTo learn and operate all equipment and machineryAll other associated tasks Our ideal candidate: Experience in a similar environmentHolds a food hygiene certificateWilling to learn and gain a full understanding of poultryResponsible and an effective communicatorHave a basic understanding and working knowledge of the ..... full job details .....
