Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Family Time Worker to join a local authority team based in Burton-on-Trent. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, foster carers and professionals to facilitate safe and positive family time sessions. This is a hands on role requiring strong safeguarding awareness, clear communication skills and the ability to manage challenging situations in a calm and professional manner. Main Duties: Safely transporting children and young people to and from family time sessions Booking appropriate venues and preparing rooms for supervised contact Supervising family time sessions to ensure the safety and welfare of the child Observing and accurately recording sessions using Care Director Communicating effectively with parents, foster carers and relevant professionals Reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with local authority procedures Maintaining clear, factual and timely case records Essential Criteria: Previous experience working with children and families within a social care setting Strong understanding of children''s safeguarding policies and procedures Experience supervising contact or family time sessions Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Enhanced DBS clearance Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy If your skills match the above criteria, please apply with your ..... full job details .....
