      <description>Location: Wakefield | Salary: 21.58-21.58 Hourly | Type: Contract | Family Support Worker, Wakefield CouncilPay rate to £21.58 per hour Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Family Support Worker to work in a Child in Care Team in Wakefield Council. This team is a pilot project which is due to go live on the 1st of April 2026. It will be a bespoke and creative service supporting primarily older children of 10 years and above where care would be seen as detrimental to their life outcomes, and where neglectful parenting is a significant factor. This is not a pilot for younger children; they would need to be dealt with separately in terms of care planning. The cohort of cases would be between 4-6 and could be from both Locality and Child in Care Teams with their suitability decided through a formal panel process. The Differential Planning programme of support will be delivered through a combination of home visits, telephone intervention and face to face sessions for a minimum 3-month period to a maximum 12-month period.
