Family Support Worker

About the RoleYou will be providing 21 hours of support per week, with the hours worked flexibly during the daytime.Mum has physical disabilities but is very hands-on, active and independent. Her son has autism, and the role will involve supporting the family with their day-to-day routine, activities, appointments and accessing the community.The aim of the package is to provide practical support while encouraging and maintaining the family''s independence.Duties may include:Supporting mum and her son with day-to-day activitiesSupporting with trips and activities within the communityAttending appointments where requiredAssisting with shopping and general day-to-day tasksProviding appropriate support to a child with autismHelping maintain routines and consistencyDriving the family when required as part of the support packageBuilding a positive and professional relationship with the familyHours and Pay 17.00 per hour21 guaranteed hours every weekLong-term, ongoing workDaytime hoursFlexible working patternWeekly payDriver EssentialYou must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving as part of your role.You will not be expected to use your own vehicle for the support.
