Family Support Worker

About Us Harris Garrard Academy is an all-through 3-18 academy with approximately 1350 pupils on roll and joined the Harris Federation as a sponsored academy in September 2017. The academy is based in Thamesmead in a purpose built building. We are now on a journey towards "Outstanding", led by highly experienced executive principals with proven track records of school transformation. Summary We are looking for a Family Support worker that can support our Academy, parents and students at Harris Garrard Academy, with a focus on attendance. Main Areas of Responsibility Your responsibilites will include: Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with families to support student attendance and engagement Conducting home visits to understand family circumstances and provide tailored support Facilitating communication between the school and families, ensuring that parents/guardians are informed and involved in their child''s education Identifying students with poor attendance and working with their families to ..... full job details .....
