We are working with a highly supportive and specialist SEN school in Gloucester that is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for pupils with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and committed Family Support Worker to play a key role in strengthening the link between home and school. You will support pupils-helping to overcome barriers, improve engagement, and promote positive outcomes in and beyond the classroom.

The Role: Family Support Worker - Complex SEN setting - Gloucester

• Work closely with the DSL and wider pastoral team
• Provide targeted support and interventions for pupils and their families
• Build strong relationships with parents/carers to support engagement and wellbeing
• Carry out assessments and contribute to tailored support plans
• Occasionally visit families at home to provide additional support
• Collaborate with teaching and specialist staff to ensure a holistic approach

The Ideal Candidate:

• Recent experience supporting children and families with complex or severe learning difficulties
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and pastoral support
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
