Family Support and Mediation Worker We are seeking a Family Support and Mediation Worker to help young people and families experiencing conflict rebuild relationships and prevent homelessness. Position: Family Support and Mediation Worker Salary: £27,943 FTE, £11,177.20 actual salary Location: North Tyneside, with travel across the North East Hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 20 September, 2026 About the Role This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with young people aged 11 to 25 and their families, providing practical support and mediation during periods of conflict, crisis or relationship breakdown. You will manage a small caseload, helping families improve communication, resolve difficulties and build stronger relationships. The aim is to intervene early, reduce family breakdown and help prevent young people from becoming homeless. Working across the North East, you will build strong relationships with young people, families, schools and other professionals. Key responsibilities include: Providing family support and mediation to young people and their families Managing a small caseload and developing individual support plans Completing risk and needs assessments Helping families improve communication and work through conflict Supporting young people to remain safely within their family or support network wherever appropriate Working closely with schools, local authorities, homelessness services and other agencies ..... full job details .....
