Family Safeguarding Social Worker

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of the Children in Surrey?Connect2socialwork are urgently looking for a Social Worker to join their great Family Safeguarding Team with a Pay rate up to 42 per hour on a locum basis.The benefits of this role:Hybrid workingJob Description;Screens and triages contacts to determine if thresholds for statutory social work intervention or significant harm are met.Completes holistic assessments of families, identifying strengths, needs, and risks, and develops SMART plans to improve outcomes.Works collaboratively with multi-agency partners, leading CIN and core group meetings to monitor and review progress.Undertakes child protection investigations and contributes to strategy discussions where significant harm is suspected.Initiates legal action (including S20 and care proceedings) where risks cannot be managed within the family environment.Maintains accurate case records and ensures effective care planning, court work, and placement coordination to promote stability and positive outcomes for children.
