Overview

Family Practitioner role at WMJobs. Staffordshire County Council is offering two full-time, fixed-term posts (6 months) in the Family Practitioner Service in Stafford. There are opportunities for training and development to support individual growth.In this role you will support children and families with a restorative practice approach, helping keep families together where it is safe to do so.Responsibilities

Leading on early help assessments and plansWorking with social workers to support children in needContributing to parenting assessmentsSupporting mediation, crisis prevention, conflict resolution and life story workSupporting the completion of accurate documentation, reports and records relating to work with children, young people and their familiesThe Ideal Candidate

A minimum of NVQ Level 3 related to working with children and families OR relevant experienceExperience of supporting children and their families within their homes, delivering direct work and engaging children, families and carersFlexibility with working hours, with possible evening and weekend workCurrent UK driving licence and vehicleWe’re happy to talk flexible workingBut above all, you’ll bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together where it’s safe to do so.Safeguarding and Equality
