About the Role
The Family & Matrimonial Paralegal position in Newport offers a full-time role with a salary between £30,000 and £50,000 dependent on experience. You will support a busy Family Team by handling a varied caseload covering divorce, financial settlements, and children proceedings. Daily tasks involve drafting court forms and statements, preparing bundles, managing files, and recording time accurately. You will communicate directly with clients, barristers, and third parties, while also conducting legal research. Prior family law experience as a paralegal or assistant is required, alongside strong organisational and communication abilities. This role provides direct support to fee earners within a growing practice.

Monday – Friday full time
Our client is looking for a proactive Family & Matrimonial Paralegal to support their growing Family Team. You’ll work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied caseload covering divorce, finances and children matters.
Key Responsibilities
Family law support across divorce, financial and children matters
Drafting documents including court forms, statements and correspondence
Preparing bundles and assisting with court work
Managing files and accurate time recording
Client communication with clients, counsel and third parties
Legal research and general support for fee earners
About You
Family law experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role
Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about client care
Desirable:
Legal qualifications such as Law degree, LPC, SQE or CILEX (or working towards)
