Family Law Paralegal

The Role

A growing family law practice is looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join its Hull office.

You will support an experienced family solicitor with a privately funded caseload covering:

- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Consent orders and financial disclosure
- Family Law Act applications

Responsibilities will include:

- Client contact by phone, email and face to face
- Taking instructions where appropriate
- Drafting correspondence, statements and court documents
- Preparing hearing bundles
- Filing applications through HMCTS portals
- Monitoring court deadlines and directions
- Liaising with courts, counsel, experts and other solicitors
- Assisting with financial disclosure and asset schedules
- Maintaining accurate files and time records
- Experience preparing documents such as C100, Form A, D81 and FL401 applications would be advantageous.
- You should have strong drafting, organisation and client-care skills, with the ability to manage deadlines.-

Experience Required

Applicants should have recent family law experience, ideally including:

- Divorce
- Financial remedies
- Private children matters
- Family Law Act applications
- HMCTS online court portals
