Family Law Paralegal

A leading law firm is seeking a Family Paralegal to join its highly regarded Family department in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to develop their experience within a busy and supportive team handling a broad range of family matters.The successful Family Paralegal will support solicitors across LAA-funded and private client matters, gaining hands-on exposure to case preparation, client contact, advocacy and court proceedings.The Family Paralegal''s RoleAssisting solicitors with a broad range of Family Law mattersSupporting LAA-funded and private client casesAttending clients, taking instructions and preparing casesDrafting correspondence, witness statements and other legal documentsPreparing and managing Legal Aid funding applicationsProcessing and reviewing evidenceAttending conferences and court hearingsUndertaking advocacy where appropriateMaintaining accurate case records and time costingAssisting with file reviews and implementing recommendationsEnsuring compliance with firm procedures and file management requirementsLiaising with clients and other parties throughout mattersThe Family ParalegalLaw degree or equivalent legal qualificationPrevious experience within Family Law or a strong demonstrable interest in the areaGood understanding of Family Law principlesStrong academic backgroundExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong client care skills and a sensitive, professional approachExcellent ..... full job details .....
