Project Manager (Faculties) – 6‑Month Fixed-Term temporary role
Hourly rate: £19.66 | 35 hours per week
Contract to: February 2027
Location: Central London (hybrid, 2 days office / 3 days remote)
Start: ASAP

Overview
The Project Manager will support a portfolio of strategic projects across the organisation’s Faculties, spanning professional, policy and service development. Working cross-functionally and with senior stakeholders, you will ensure that key initiatives are well planned, governed and delivered effectively.
You will manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining oversight of scope, timelines, risks and interdependencies. As a central coordinating point, you will work closely with Faculty Chairs, governance committees, senior leaders and colleagues to keep activity aligned, decisions recorded and progress on track.
Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of cross‑Faculty projects from initiation to completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, governance arrangements and risk registers
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and coordinate appropriate action
  • Provide clear, timely reporting and updates to senior stakeholders and governance groups
  • Support implementation of project outcomes and identify opportunities to refine approach and process
  • Ensure delivery to agreed timescales and quality standards
  • Build effective relationships with Faculty Chairs, Executive Committees, senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, workshops and other engagement activity
  • Prepare concise, well‑structured agendas, papers, reports and presentations
  • Oversee project administration, including scheduling, logistics, action tracking and document management
  • Monitor project expenditure, liaise with finance colleagues and process project‑related invoices and expenses
  • Provide operational support to Faculty activities (elections, awards, web content, governance processes)
  • Contribute to the development of project management approaches and governance frameworks
  • Promote consistency, proportionate governance and a culture of continuous improvement

About you
You are an organised, confident project professional, comfortable working with senior stakeholders, managing multiple priorities and maintaining oversight of complex activity.
Essential
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a complex organisation
  • Strong planning, organisational and coordination skills
  • Proven stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience developing project plans, managing risks and reporting progress
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reports and presentations
  • Experience coordinating meetings and supporting governance and/or committee activity
  • High standard of administration and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise, use initiative and work with a good degree of autonomy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commonly used project management tools
