Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a tenure-track position in any area of experimental chemistry. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. The expected start date of the appointment is July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $79,132 to $98,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Chemistry, as well as appropriate postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate will be expected to mount an externally funded research program that includes undergraduate and graduate students and will also teach required introductory and senior courses in the Chemistry program. Evidence of background to teach synthetic chemistry and/or X-ray crystallography is an asset. The successful candidate will bring complementary experience and expertise that will support the diversification of our curriculum and research interests.
